The Saint Lucia Development Bank (SLDB) is seeking to fill the following vacancy:
Position: Senior Relationship Specialist
Department: Service Delivery
Reports to: Manager, Service Delivery
Skills & Core Competencies Required:
- Understanding of Saint Lucia’s legal framework, particularly with respect to credit, economic financial-economic and business analysis.
- Initiative and strong business customer service focus.
- Strong operational and enterprise risk assessment and management skills.
- Strong ethical standards and understanding of the principles of corporate governance.
- Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interface with personnel at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to effectively manage/coordinate simultaneous projects, and successfully prioritize multiple tasks with good judgment.
- Working knowledge of the corporate structure, key personnel and organizational policies and procedures.
Core Responsibilities
- General oversight of the Service Delivery Department in the absence of the Service Delivery Manager.
- Assisting the Service Delivery Manager with the supervision of the loan portfolio by following up on all arrears and loans restructuring/rescheduling.
- Assisting the Service Delivery Manager with the implementation of credit and lending policies procedures and standards.
- Assisting the Service Delivery Manager with external reporting requirements of the department.
- Supervision of loan targets of the department’s Relationship Specialist.
Required Qualifications and Skillsets
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Agriculture, Finance, Banking, Economics, Business Management or Construction Management; OR
- A minimum of five (5) years of training and experience in project appraisal and implementation at a financial institution.
